Commercial vs. Freeware

Freeware-software that is provided with out charge.(microsoft word, paint)

shareware-software that is available free of charge; may be distributed for evaluation with a fee requested for additional features or a manual etc. (microsoftword, some virus blockers)


open source-of or relating to or being computer software for which the source code is freely available. (facebook, myspace)

commercial software-Commercial software, or less commonly, payware, is computer software that is produced for sale or that serves commercial purposes. (some virus blockers, limewire pro)
